Eco Labelling
Friesens offers two types of environmental labelling.
Eco-Audits
- Shows environmental resources saved by using PCW paper
- Based on calculations by The Environmental Paper Network
Process for Obtaining an Eco-Audit
- Open ‘job specs’ in your Friesens ‘MyBooks’ account
- Books not eligible won’t show the option of downloading audit
- Books eligible for an eco-audit will show the download option (pdf)
- By implementing the pdf into the desired page of your book and returning the files through ‘MyBooks’, the eco-audit label will embed in the files
Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Labelling
- Promotes forests that have been certified, and the wood fibre in the paper has been tracked from the certified forest to the end user, protecting ancient forests
Process for obtaining an FSC® Label
- Call your Friesens sales representative or CSR
- Select FSC® certified paper
- Friesens will email appropriate (certified) label
- Publisher must email design layout featuring label to Friesens for final FSC® approval
- Friesens emails approval to publisher
